  • Education & Knowledge Building

    Consultation Roundtable - a joint medical practitioner and pastoral care professional team addresses mental health scenarios submitted by our members. The results/lessons learned from these discussions are archived on a confidential basis for use by our members.

    - Promote the Roundtable throughout the Alliance and the Interfaith Community.

    - Develop the optimum process to intake the scenarios for which the responders to provide feedback. 

    - Develop the process to archive the results and method to share these stories with complete confidentiality assured. 

    Wellness Companion Education and Engagement Program - community cohort groups are trained on how to walk alongside those with mental health issues and promote mental wellness best practices.

    - Analyze the applicability of the Bridges to Care Program in North Texas.

    - Analyze how the SLCUMC Soul Ambassador program can share best practices with the Bridges to Care program.

  • Solutions & Projects

    Long-acting anti-psychotic injectables – lowering the cost for those in need

    - Conduct discovery work with prospective suppliers of these injectables.

    - Formulate a plan for establishing a procurement and deliver plan for these injectables.

    Recovery Centers - supporting current needs 

    - Conduct discovery work at 5-10 Recovery Centers to identify needs where the Alliance can support the Centers.

    - Develop plan to identify Community Volunteers to assist the Centers’ Residential Programs for serious mental illness and addiction.

    Glitches in the Mental Health institutional system

    - Conduct survey of institutions to find areas we help and advocate for change.

  • Advocacy & Access

    Improve access to affordable mental health services throughout the Social Determinants of Health ecosystem.

    - Conduct discovery work to identify situations where our Alliance can attract Community Stakeholders to work on the problems of access.  

    - Identify the many silos and sectors of the population that are most effected. 

    - Interview North Texas Behavioral Health Authority serves the indigent population.

    - Inform our Stakeholders on how to advocate at State Level, City and County level and with CEO’s, school districts and other enterprises that are impacted by Mental Health Issues.

    - Conduct discovery work with NAMI Texas, Texas Impact, League of Women Voters, Mental Health America, NAMI North Texas, etc.

    - Develop a system to easily capture information, forward information and track results.

  • Community Collaboration

    Community Strategic Partners – collaborate to build transformational relationships that produce sustainable solutions.

    Develop the proposal to become one of the strategic partners with NAMI North Texas’ to launch the NAMI FaithNet initiative in North Texas.

    Conduct discovery work with key Community stakeholders to produce sustainable programming to spur Community Collaboration.

    Alliance membership - attract and engage new members.

    Develop Best-Fit profile for attracting new members to the Alliance.

  • Operations & Administrative Management

    Internet System: assist in developing structure, security policies, providing training.

    Writer: Collect and write stories of how our efforts impact mental wellness; for social media and other purposes.

    Graphic artist: logo, flyers, website, campaigns.

    Support with orientation/engagement of volunteers.

    Social media: write/post blogs, announcements.

    Newsletters: writing, layout.

    Accounting: manage Quickbooks Online.

    Fund-raising idea generation and management.

    Pastoral care/spirituality for the volunteers and staff.

    Legal advisor.

    Grant-writing support.

    Meeting prep: assembling folders, preparing name tags, securing facility and finalizing arrangements.
